Electric Pink

Sweater: Tobi // Skirt: Tobi // Heels: Alaïa
Purse: Chelsea28 // Earrings: Express //  Jewelry: Vintage

Pink seems to be my new favorite color this year.  I just realized that all of my outfit posts for 2018 so far have at least one pink item in them, which is very unusual for someone who used to wear a whole lot of black and white.  I don't know what it is, but I felt as if my wardrobe was in desperate need of bright colors and more patterns.  Maybe it's the refreshing feeling a new year brings, but I am starting off 2018 with a new me and I'm embracing it!
Incorporating new hues into my closet does not mean that I'm totally giving up black and white items.  No, no, no.  I  still appreciate a good pair of black Topshop "Joni" jeans and a simple white tee, but I also wanna play around and dress in canary, neon orange, emerald, and red pieces.  That's why I paired this electric pink sweater with a black high-waisted faux leather skirt.  It's no surprise that pink and black pair lovely together, but I definitely appreciate the bold chunkiness of the sweater tucked into a slightly rebellious moto chic skirt.  Both of these lovely pieces are from Tobi, and I have linked them above if you want to rock this look for a girls night out.  Here, I chose to accentuate the edginess of the skirt with these killer Alaïa heels.  They are sky high, which makes a 4'10" shrimp like me feel incredibly tall.  Well, tall-er.  Lastly, I chose jet black jewelry pieces and a purse with a silver chain strap for a touch of sophisticated badassness.  Wait.  Is that even a word?  It is now . . . in my vocabulary.
Anyway, that's all for this outfit post.  I hope you love this look as much as I do!  Let me know in the comments below if your style changed in the new year or if there is a certain piece that you are so excited to rock this year.  I would love to know!  As always, I am sending you lots of love from my heart to yours!
