Tapestry & Tassels

I know Coachella season officially starts in April, but I wanted to post this festival-approved outfit a bit early.  The high-waisted black jeans would be way too hot to wear out in the desert, but I love the way it looks with this boho-chic ootd.  Let's dance right into the details!

The star of the outfit has to be this velvet burnout kimono.  For some reason, I was instantly attracted to the vibrant scarlet color and the tapestry-like pattern.  Maybe my style is taking a slightly different turn, but I've really been embracing that "La Femme Bohème" vibe.

If you told me a few years ago that I'd wear a cowboy-inspired hat with an adjustable chin strap, I'd say that you're crazy.  Personally, I've always shied away from wearing hats because I never thought I looked great in them.  When I tried this one on, I really loved the way it framed my face and it made my soul sing, so here it is! What I love most about it is that like Brixton hats, this Madewell hat comes in different sizes.  I don't know about you, but "one size fits all" hats don't fit my tiny head.  I end up looking like it's swallowing my entire head and I can't see in it, so I appreciate when brands provide a range of sizes for their hats.  Bravo, Madewell!

Since I talked about my hat, I might as well start with the accessories up top and make my way down to the heels.  Okay, so shall we discuss jewelry first?  Like I've mentioned in previous outfit posts and on my Insta feed/Insta stories, I love my Midori Linea necklaces!  The tiered choker necklace and the "Y" necklace look amazing when paired together (as seen above), but they layer beautifully with other gold pendant necklaces.  I swear I wear the tiered choker almost every day because it goes with everything!  Also, for jewelry, I adorned myself with a gold ring to keep with the gold theme and a set of multi-metal bangles.

For the bottom half of the accessories, I selected a gold horse chain belt in honor of the "wild and free' feels, a faux croc boxy clutch, and my trusty pair of black platform heels.  Nothing too eye-catching, but they accentuate the beauty of the kimono without stealing the limelight.

And that about wraps up this boho-chic ensemble!  I know I've been a bit M.I.A. here on the blog, but trust me when I say that I'll be posting new content soon!  In the meantime, I hope you find the courage within yourself to dress in a way that makes you smile.  Once you find it, never let it go.  As always, fashionistas, I am sending you lots of love from my heart to yours!
