Halloween is almost here!  As a child I loved dressing up, going trick-or-treating with my friends, and eating lots of candy and treats.  Since I love fashion and film, this year I have put together four costumes inspired by some of my favorite fashion moments in film.  I will be posting two outfits this week and two outfits next week.
For my first outfit, I decided to pay tribute to Grease.  I remember watching the musical when I was in the fourth grade.  I loved the catchy songs, the leather jackets, and Frenchy's bright pink hair, but Sandy's final outfit struck me the most.  She definitely made a departure from her "good girl" look by sporting skin-tight high-waisted pants and off-the-shoulder top.
One reason why I love this outfit so much is that it is simple, chic, and practical.  Most times costumes can only be worn on Halloween, but the pieces in this costume can be worn year round.  For example, you could wear the disco pants with a cute crop top, and you could rock the off-the-shoulder top with a skater skirt or a different high-waisted pants.  This is definitely a great outfit if you are looking for a costume that you can wear more than once a year.  Sending you lots of love from my heart to yours!
