We all have at least one clothing item that we have had for years, but we just can't get ourselves to give it away. I call these items "oldies but goodies." For me, that item is this brown faux leather vest. I remember purchasing this at Hollister a long time ago. Come to think of it, I believe I was in middle school when I bought it. This vest has been in my closet so long that it is starting to look distressed and worn on the edges, but that's why I cannot give it away. To me, the imperfections on it give the vest character. No matter what anyone says, I'm gonna keep this vest until I cannot wear it anymore.
For today's outfit, I wore my "oldie but goodie" piece with a simple ribbed tank top from Forever 21, off-white jeans, and my nude wedge sandals. To pull the outfit together, I wore mixed metal bracelets, a bronze cuff and necklace. Let me know in the comments below what your "oldie but goodie" clothing item is. DeleteLooking at it, I can tell why you want to keep it. I would do the same. It's a really nice vest. I have a few items too that have stood the test of time really well and have become a part of my wardrobe that I can count on to look good on me and go with a wide range of others- simple but elegant.
