No one can ever replicate Grace Kelly's timeless beauty and elegance, but for Halloween I wanted to recreate the dress she wore in the movie, Rear Window. The talented costume designer, Edith Head, designed this iconic dress among her other works of art in film. Since I could not find a similar dress, I created this outfit by wearing a black bodysuit beneath an off-white tulle skirt. I sewed on six lace appliqué around the skirt in attempt to recreate the delicate details on Grace Kelly's dress and added a belt, just as she had worn in the movie. To top off the look, I wore my black strappy heels and a pearl necklace.
Grace Kelly looked stunning in everything she wore. I also loved all of her outfits in High Society, but this was one of my all-time favorite "fashion in film moments." Hope you have a wonderful day! Sending you lots of love from my heart to yours!
