Last week I took a vacation with my family to Washington State after participating in the Nordstrom Extraordinary Experience with Caroline Issa (If you would like to read all about it, click here).  Even though I lived there for four and a half years in my childhood, I still loved playing tourist.  I revisited the Space Needle and viewed the Chihuly Garden and Glass Exhibit while in Seattle.  Since I missed the pine trees and all the beautiful flowers that are native to the northwest, I wanted to capture them in a photo shoot.  These photos were taken in the mini garden located in Seattle Center.
My outfit that day was simple and it consisted of versatile pieces; I call that "travel chic."  When I travel I always pack a jacket that can go from day to night and a basic white t-shirt or tank top.  On this particular trip, I brought my favorite faux leather jacket and my most comfortable white tank top from Topshop.  Although this outfit is quite simple, it is a travel-must for me. To add a bit of sophistication to this casual ensemble, I wore my Jeffrey Campbell heels, "chic" necklace, and Chanel sunnies.  Let me know in the comments below what your travel chic outfit is.  Sending you lots of love from my heart to yours!
"Seattle was built out on pilings over the sea, and at high tide the whole city seemed to come afloat like a ship lifting free from a mud berth and swaying in its chains." -Jonathan Raban
