Today is officially the first day of autumn! To celebrate the changing of the seasons, I am wearing this Topshop evergreen lace up shirt dress. It is a totally different style from what I normally wear- I usually wear clothes that accentuate my waist and hug my hips to create an hourglass shape, but this dress has me completely smitten. The loose straight silhouette is refreshing and so comfortable. The model on Nordstrom's website wore the dress with the solid green fabric behind the lace-up detail. Since I am a lot shorter than her, I felt as if the dress would swallow me a bit, so I pushed the inside fabric aside to reveal the crisscross pattern. Showing a bit of skin at the top made the dress less conservative, but not too revealing.
I paired the dress with these gorgeous faux snakeskin heels from Topshop. The colors and texture of the heels pair well with the '70s-inspired shirtdress because of its similar lace up details.
