February 2017 Favorites

Tuesday, February 28, 2017

This February I cultivated a handful of treasures- some I have had for a while and rekindled a new love for, and the others are new and exciting finds.  Let's dive into my monthly favorites!

If you knew I just had to add a pair of statement earrings to my favorites list, you know me pretty well!  These gorgeous Banana Republic baubles bring a whole new meaning to "chandelier earrings."  I love that the shape resembles the outline of a chandelier and how the rhinestones add even more geometrical beauty to these earrings.  They would look lovely with a dress or even a classic white button-down blouse with jeans.

Although I have dedicated almost all of February working on my Parsons x Teen Vogue Program, in my down time I enjoyed stepping away from the computer screen and taking a break with a couple of good books.  I started rereading one of my favorites, The Time Traveller's Wife, and I started reading I Love You Madly by Evelyn Farr, which details the secret romance between Queen Marie Antoinette and Count Axel von Fersen.  It was a wonderful balance of reading something old and something new.

The next item on the list are these Alexander McQueen sunnies that I featured in my outfit post, Think Pink.  For the last couple of weeks, I have been switching out my go-to Ray Bans for these sunnies, and even if I already featured them on my blog, I thought it would be a shame not to include them in my favorites.  The white frames and gold detailing elevate all of my casual ensembles and I will definitely be sporting these all through spring and summer!

One of my goals this year was to write a poem every week, so it's no surprise that my poem book has made its way into a favorites post.  As of now, I have written thirty-four poems in this journal, so I have quite a few more poems to write before I reach my life goal of writing 1,000 poems.  Although I have written poetry in the past, I am only counting the poems from the first page of this book.  I cannot wait to fill all of the pages and start a new notebook, but for now, this one right here is the guardian of my thoughts and inspirations.

And for my final favorite for the month of February, I wanted to include this stunning well-crafted JORD wood watch.  I'll admit, I am not a watch person, but I am so in love with this timepiece.  I have been wearing it non-stop ever since JORD gifted it to me.  It's versatile and casual with a hint of glam.  To see how I styled it, you can take a look at my recent outfit post, All About the Accoutrements.  Also, be sure to enter the giveaway HERE to win $100 towards your own JORD watch!  You will receive $25 towards your purchase just for entering!
Well, fashionistas, that's all for my favorites for the month of February!  Let me know in the comments below what products you loved this month!  As always, I am sending you lots of love from my heart to yours!

  1. I just discovered you, so I may or may not be late to this post. :)
Those earrings are really beautiful! They're big, and normally that would be a no-no thing for me, but gosh, they are so intricate with all those gem details. Beautiful!
I was planning to read The Time Travelers Wife for my English class. Not so sure about it yet honestly, but it's inspiring to see that someone else loves the book.
As for writing a poem every week, I haven't heard of that one yet and I think it's a beautiful habit to have. I might just do that too. Poems are just a good way to express yourself artisticly via text. I have a friend who writes beautiful poems, and it always inspires and instills wonder in me.

    1. Thank you so much for your beautiful comment, Sara! It truly brightened up my day! I hope you enjoy reading The Time Traveler's Wife if you ever decide to give it a try. Audrey Niffenegger has a wonderful way with words and the structure of the novel is very different because parts are written in Clare's point of view and other parts are written in Henry's point of view. As for the poetry writing, so far I have only missed one week this year, which is pretty good! I find that it's a lovely creative outlet to have. Hope you have a spectacular day! And thank you, again, for stopping by my blog!
