          The New Year is right around the corner!  I took a little time to sit out in nature to reflect upon 2014 and make new goals for 2015.  Breathing in the fresh air and feeling the sun kiss my skin never fails to rejuvenate my mind, body, and soul.  In my experience, wearing capes is a chic way to bundle up in the cold while taking in the beauty of nature.  
          I fell in love with this cape from Topshop because the evergreen color just spoke to me and it was adorned with tassels on the bottom.  I felt as if it would be appropriate to sport this color during the holiday season.  For this outfit, I paired the cape with high-waisted black jeans, an ivory camisole, and a gold necklace to bring out the yellow in the tartan pattern.  I just feel so effortlessly chic whenever I wear a cape.  It drapes so flawlessly on any body shape and it is so easy to throw on in the morning if you're running late for school or work.
