February 2016 Favorites

Thursday, March 03, 2016

February was an incredibly busy month for me.  Between starting a night class, finishing up a design project and completing my taxes, I didn't post as often as I wanted to.  However, this month I will be back to my normal posting schedule!  I have exciting new outfit posts lined up for March, but for now, I'm going to share with you what I loved in February!  Let's see, shall we?

I purchased this Topshop three-tiered black cord necklace from Nordstrom.  It is a bold and fun statement piece that adds just a bit of chic to my outfits.  I will be featuring it in a future outfit post, so stay tuned to see how I style it!

I admit, I am a bit of a nerd.  I love books and I love fashion, so it only makes sense that I LOVE fashion books!  I was so lucky to be able to purchase The Power of Glamour at a vintage bookstore.  Not only is this book no longer available in stores and incredibly hard to find, it's a first edition.  There is nothing that make's a bookworm's heart flutter more than a vintage first edition book in mint condition.  It really is one of my favorite books now currently being displayed on my bookshelf.

I have found that people either love or hate ear cuffs.  I have never purchased an ear cuff, let alone try one on until last month.  I came to the realization that I don't hate them, but I am very picky about the ornamental details. I like the unique way they caress and adorn my ear.  It's one of those jewelry pieces that only look cool when you're young, so I figured, why not try it?  Fashion is all about trying new things, right?  I purchased mine from Macy's, but there are really awesome ear cuffs at Nasty Gal.

Cuff hinged bracelets are my favorite type of bracelets to wear.  I  have small wrists, so hinged bracelets tend to fit me the best.  This bracelet is by Robert Lee Morris and I also purchased this jewelry piece from Macy's.

Last, but certainly not least, I purchased this 'Taylor' box clutch from Pink Haley.  I just love the vintage-style structure and the fact that I can wear it multiple ways.  Also, I featured it in one of my recent outfit posts: Topped Off w/ a Bow, where I styled it with my Kooples bow blouse and black high-waisted jeans.  Be sure to check it out if you haven't already.  It's currently one of my favorite outfit posts!
Well, that's it for now!  Hope you enjoyed my favorites for February 2016!  Stay tuned for more posts in the month of March!  Sending you lots of love from my heart to yours!
