September 2017 Favorites
Sunday, October 08, 2017
I feel like September came and went in a blink of an eye. Maybe it's because I recently shared my August Favorites, but I am thrilled to share my new favorite finds, some of which includes pieces I purchased in London. I guess you could say that statement gold is the theme for these favorites.
Although these are not all gold, these Saint Laurent sunnies definitely make a statement. I've always wanted to rock John Lennon-inspired sunglasses, so these were a dream come true!
These earrings from the brand, Cara, are super cool . . . if you look closely. From a distance, the silhouette of the links may look like light bulbs, but they are actually hands making the peace sign. I found this special pair at Nordstrom Rack in a sea of glittery studs and woven baubles. I tried to find them online to link here, but no such luck. Maybe if you keep your eyes open at the Rack, you may find a pair of these earrings to add to your collection.
I've saved my favorites for last. I bought these special items during my trip to London. I purchased the earrings at Portobello Market, one of the most famous street markets in the world. They have everything and anything you never knew you always wanted. They have beautiful vintage accessories as well as new items. As soon as I laid my eyes on these 80's clip-on earrings, I instantly saw a flash of Blanche Devereaux wearing a similar pair in one of the episodes of The Golden Girls, so you know I had to buy them!
Now, onto the BEST "gem" I found in London- this vintage elephant chain belt. And you may never guess where I purchased it. Did you guess Topshop? Yes, you heard me. I purchased this belt from the Topshop store at Oxford Circus! Let me tell you, I was in heaven as soon as I stepped into this huge store. It's absolutely AMAZING! They sell many other brands besides Topshop, including Miss Selfridge and items from Peek-a-boo Vintage, which is where I discovered this gold belt. I literally could have spent a few days just admiring all of their eclectic accessories and trying on all of the dresses and flare pants.
I will touch more upon my shopping experiences in London and Paris in my trip recap post, so stay tuned for that along with an upcoming outfit post of me styling this "gem!" As always, fashionistas, I am sending you lots of love from my heart to yours! May your day be filled with light, love, and laughter!
