December 2018 Favorites

Thursday, January 03, 2019

Happy 2019!  We are still in the first week of January, so I am still on time with this monthly favorite post.  Whew, I made it!  December was such a fun month filled with family get-togethers and holiday festivities.  At the end of it all, I collected a handful of goodies that I coveted and will continue to love well into the new year.  Let's check it out!

After I shopped online for Christmas presents, I decided to treat myself to a new eyeshadow palette.  This Too Faced Chocolate Bar Palette came in a holiday set along with mascara and an eyeshadow primer.  Since I've been using the same Chantecaille eyeshadow trio every day for over a year, I wanted to try a new selection of fun, sparkly colors.  Although I loved this palette from the first time I saw it last year at Sephora, I passed it by.  Somehow the glitter and bold jewel-toned colors called out to me this time and I said, "Merry Christmas to me," and added it to the cart.  The shades are absolutely beautiful, so I have no regrets.

Now, isn't this handbag just stunning!?!  The colors, the stones, the structured silhouette . . . I love it all!  This purse looks very similar to a metal bronze purse that I wanted at the Portobello Market in London.  It was a beautiful purse, but sadly out of my budget for that trip.  Since nothing haunts me more than the items I didn't buy,  I was over-the-moon delighted to receive this gorgeous Sam Edelman purse for Christmas!  You will definitely see this in an upcoming outfit post.  You can bet on that!

Now, this favorite was another thoughtful gift I received for Christmas.  One of my best friends gave this bracelet to me and I adore it to pieces because on the back of the heart charm, it says, "Girlfriends are sisters we chose for ourselves."  When we were little, we used to call each other and say, "Hey, girlfriend" and sign "girlfriend" on every note and letter we wrote to each other as kids.  Not only is this rose gold bangle so chic, but it also holds so much meaning and memories for me.  I will cherish it forever.

Last, but not least, these Saint Laurent nude platform heels made it on my list of favorites for December.  I recently wore them out to dinner and in my Christmas outfit post.  As I mentioned in that post, my mother found these heels at Nordstrom Rack for an insane style steal price!  She was so generous and thoughtful to gift them to me as an early Christmas present so I could feature them on my blog for my holiday post.  These platforms seem to match so many pieces in my closet, so you'll be seeing them in many future outfit posts and on Instagram!
Well, if you are reading this, you made it through the entire post!  Thank you so much for taking the time to stop by Elizabeth, Marie, and Me and for reading this article from start to finish.  Hope you all had a fabulous holiday season filled with endless joy and wonderful new memories!  Until my next post, I am sending you lots of love from my heart to yours!

  1. As much as I loved the red dress from your Christmas 2018 blog post, I equally loved those platform sandals. Nice post.
