Summer 2021 Beauty Favorites

Today we're taking a little break from fashion to talk about all things beauty! It's been a couple of years since I chatted about my favorite skincare and beauty products, so I thought it was time to update all of you on my current go-to products. Let's dive right in!
I’m starting this post off with favorite eye products. If you’ve been visiting for a while, you’ll probably recognize the eye cream in the little silver container, the Chantecaille Stress Repair Concentrate. I’ve been using it for years and I still love it! I admit, it’s on the pricy side, but this tiny jar lasts a very long time! On nights when I feel lazy and don’t want to put on my entire skin care regime, I’ll just tap this under and around my eyes, and call it a night.
Another eye product that I just adore is the Fenty Skin Flash Nap Cream. It cools and de-puffs my under eyes, which is a life-saver when I don’t get enough sleep. I love dabbing a bit under each eye before applying my makeup. Fenty Skin also has an eye roller tool that pairs well with the Flash Nap Cream, which is something I would like to try out one day, but for now, I’ll stick to my Winky Lux Eye Cream Applicator. Not only is it aesthetically pleasing to display on your bathroom counter, it cools my under eyes as it gently massages in the eye cream. It's definitely a must-have tool for me!
Speaking of under eye products . . . I've been OBSESSED with under eye masks. I love a hydrating face mask like the next gal, but they don't hydrate my under eyes quite like eye masks do. Every time I pop on a pair after a long day, I feel like I'm pampering my skin in the best way. I've tried a handful of different brands, and I've found that I really like Kazu Beauty Avocado + Retinol Under Eye Masks. The formula is soothing, cooling, hydrating . . . and it's cost effective. Since they are hard to come by, I decided to mention another brand that I absolutely love: FlashPatch. Their Rejuvenating Eye Gels and Restoring Night Eye Gels work like a charm every time, but the Rosé All Day Eye Gels are my favorite from their brand! However, my all-time favorite under eye masks are the Chantecaille Energizing Eye Recovery Masks. They are quite expensive, but SO worth it. They are infused with a 24K gold serum that de-puffs and moisturizes my skin while the peptides in the formula lightens my dark circles. In my opinion, thy are hands down the BEST under eye masks on the market right now.
Recently, I've also been into facial sprays, especially rose water. My two favorite rose water facial mists are by Chantecaille and Mario Badescu. Both are wonderful, particularly in the summer because they leave your skin feeling refreshed and smelling as sweet as a rose. I keep the travel-sized Mario Badescu bottle by my computer as I work and I'll spritz my face every now and then for an instant cooling freshness. Another facial mist I've been loving is the ILIA Blue Light Protect + Set Mist. As someone who is on the laptop and phone much of the day, this is an essential for me. It protects your skin from your screen's blue light while hydrating your skin and setting your makeup. Personally, I spray this product on my face with or without makeup. Anything that can protect my skin from the damaging effects of blue light is a plus for me. Also, it has a pleasing scent that is reminiscent of lavender.
This Chanel Waterproof Eyeliner is one of my everyday/all-year-round go-to products, but I decided to include it in my Summer 2021 Beauty Favorites because it is especially essential in the hotter months. Between the humidity and the heat, a good waterproof eyeliner is much needed. Unlike other liners that melt on your face in the summer swelter, this one simply fades slowly and doesn't run, which makes re-applying super easy (if needed). The twist top function makes it easy to apply, as it glides on smoothly over eye shadow and it's slim pen-like style makes it perfect for placing in in your bag for on-the-go touch-ups. Chanel has an array of great eyeliner options, but I highly recommend this one!
Last, but not least, this beauty favorites post wouldn't be complete without sharing my favorite summer scents. Personally, I love fruity and floral scents so Chantecaille's Pétals, Mugler's Angel Eau Croisière, and YSL's Mon Paris are my summer favorites. The Chantecaille perfume is a beautiful mélange of gardenia with notes of jasmine and tuberose while the Mugler eau de toilette has a warm fruity tropical scent with notes of mango and grapefruit. Finally, YSL's Mon Paris is a beautiful blend of floral and fruity with notes of red berries and the white datura flower. Unfortunately, Mugler's Angel Eau Croisière was a limited edition fragrance, so I decided to also include my new Mugler fragrance below.
And there it is in all it's pretty pink glory! Behold, Mugler's Angel Nova perfume! If you love the scent of lychee, you will just adore this fragrance. Its sweet scent has a touch of floral notes, which makes it perfect for summer. If you are a fan of Delina by Parfums de Marly, I think you'll love this perfume, too!
