Crunchy Chickpea Snack

Like most people, I LOVE potato chips.  I could snack on them all day, but they are not exactly healthy.  About a year ago, I came across an easy recipe that satisfied my craving for potato chips and kept my body feeling healthy.  It's these curry oven-roasted chickpeas.  To me, they are a great substitute for chips because they are savory and have the crunch factor that makes chips impossible to pass up.  I really hope you try this recipe!  It serves 1-2 people.

Here are the ingredients you will need:

1.) 15 oz can of garbanzo beans (chickpeas)

2.) 1 teaspoon olive oil

3.) 1/2 teaspoon salt

4.) 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

5.) 1/4 teaspoon ground cumin

6.) 1/4 teaspoon curry powder

Directions:

1.) Preheat the oven to 400 degrees

2.) Rinse the chickpeas under cold water and dry them with a towel

3.) Place them in a bowl and toss them with the olive oil

4.) In a separate bowl mix all the spices together

5.) Sprinkle the spice mixture over the chickpeas and toss well until everything is coated evenly

6.) Pour the chickpeas onto a baking sheet and place in the oven for 35-40 minutes

7.) ENJOY!
