Every outfit tells a story.  Every piece of clothing is unique in its own way, but when certain pieces fall together, sometimes . . . they create something magical.  I have had the basis of this outfit planned since the first day I started my blog.  I envisioned a bold and memorable ensemble since the jacket itself was a piece of art.  Looking back, I'm glad I saved this outfit until now because I didn't know it then, but I hadn't collected all of the pieces yet.
I purchased this exquisite Free People jacket at T.J. Maxx three years ago for $7.  Yes, you heard me, $7!!!  I spotted it on the clearance rack and remember feeling like I just won the jackpot.  It was in my size, in perfect condition, and such a deal!  I couldn't understand how no one would purchase this beauty.  Of course, it's not to everyone's taste and it's not the most versatile piece, but the modernized Victorian feel of the jacket was what stole my heart.  It looked as if it had been pulled straight out of that time period and placed on the sale rack.  When I got home, I rummaged through my closet to find the perfect pair of pants to match, but nothing worked.  Finally, I tried it out with my ivory lace slip dress and I was surprised.  I never thought they would  meld together, but somehow, the two pieces looked beautiful together.
Still, the outfit wasn't complete until last month when I purchased this belt at Charlotte Russe for $5.  It adds just the perfect touch.  It gives the look a bit of an unexpected western feel to it, but I like it.  To sum it all up, I wore my suede lace-up black boots and simple earrings.  When we did this photo shoot, it felt right; I felt like I created an interesting look that tells a story.  Fashion is all about conveying a feeling or an image through your attire, but remember, you don't have to break the bank in order to tell your story.  As always, sending you lots of love from my heart to yours!
