Let’s be real, the word "comfortable" doesn’t usually come to mind when you think of fashion.  Sometimes during photo shoots I can’t wait for the moment when I can release my feet from uncomfortable heels.  As sexy as I think they make my legs look, more times than not I wonder, “Why did I decide to wear them?” while I rub my feet and place band-aids on my blisters after wearing them for hours.  But, I guarantee you, I will wear those exact heels again because if they are the perfect heels for a specific outfit, I will endure the exact same pain.  Why do I do it?  I don’t know.  When you think about it, it’s quite dumb.  I mean, why subject yourself to the same self-inflicted pain?  Why wear a shoe that’s uncomfortable?  Well, maybe it’s the fashionista in me or the artist at heart, I think of a head-to-toe look as a masterpiece.  If one component is off, I have to change it and if it means that I would have to wear those killer heels, I will.
There are days where I just give my feet a break and today is one of those days.  I’m a city kinda girl, but I love moments where I can sit out in nature and meditate, write poetry and connect with mother earth.  With that said, I decided on a simple outfit; I call it my “zen look.”  Let’s break it down: wide comfortable pants?  Check.  Crop top?  Check.  Barefoot?  Check.  I had so much fun shooting this outfit post because I was comfortable- SHOCKER! - and the cactus garden surrounding me was so beautiful and peaceful. Let me know in the comments below what you think about this look.  Sending you lots of love from my heart to yours!
