Thank you so much for stopping by Elizabeth, Marie, & Me. You might be wondering, “How many people are contributing to this blog? Are Elizabeth and Marie sisters?” Well, I would like to first start off by introducing myself. Hello, my name is Kristen, but people call me Kris. I live in Hawai‘i, specifically on the island of O‘ahu, I prefer heels over flats since I am about 4’10” (I know, I am super tall), I will fall in love with almost anything blush or burgundy colored, I can never have enough statement necklaces, and I am obsessed with tulle. As for Elizabeth and Marie, I named by blog after my two favorite fashion icons: Queen Elizabeth I of England and Queen Marie Antoinette of France. Their styles are very different, but both inspiring. So without further ado, let's dive into the first outfit.
See, I told you I love tulle. When I first laid eyes on this tulle skirt, I knew I had to buy it. For some apparent reason, it kind of reminded me of the fairies in Midsummer Night’s Dream, my favorite Shakespeare play. For this ensemble, I decided to pair the skirt with a Free People black slip dress, and a faux leather jacket to add contrast. To finish the look, I added a black and gold statement necklace. Wow, two of my favorites in one blog post, and I’m just getting started! I can’t wait to share with you more of my style and a few of my fashion tips. So, stay tuned for my next blog post!
Love,
Kris

DeleteLove the outfit! Looking forward to your next blog. Awesome quote. So true, clothes does not make the man, but in your case your beautiful soul and righteous clothes are one.

DeleteI was wondering about the "Elizabeth, Marie, and Me" reference. Glad to read this post. You are a queen in your own right, looking royally beautiful. You deliever big time beauty despite your very petite frame. Nice to meet you and know more about your blog here! :) By the way, great looking necklace, leather jacket, dress (worn as a top, apparently), skirt, and sandals. Older outfit and style, but just as lovely as most of your others.
