In a dream world, well, my dream world, Carrie Bradshaw and I would be the best of friends. Sex and the City premiered when I was about three years old and ended when I was nine, so needless to say, I didn't watch the show. Now that I'm older, I love to binge watch episodes on Friday nights as I enjoy a glass of Moscato. Some of her outfits are very 90's chic, but much of Carrie's wardrobe is still fashionable today. Some things just never go out of style! So, if Carrie Bradshaw were to raid my closet, this is the outfit I think she would put together.
It's a mix of a bit of everything. The slate flowy slip dress is simple and elegant, making it the perfect foundation for the outfit. I draped an ivory faux fur coat over my shoulders for that luxurious feel and slipped on my nude Steve Madden sandals. Lastly, I frosted my ears with a pair of statement rhinestone earrings. May we take a moment to discuss how gorgeous these earrings are? I had been looking for a pair of earrings like these for a while and I finally found them at Macy's. They were the last pair hanging on the display and I knew I had to snatch them before they were gone. They go with many of my dressy outfits, so that makes me a very happy blogger!
