If you could only choose one popular trend from the 70's to wear for the rest of your life, what would you choose?  Well, maybe "the rest of your life" is a bit dramatic, so let's draw it down to six months.  So, what trend would you choose if you had to wear it for six months?  Personally, I would choose flared jeans and bell-bottoms.  Technically they are slightly different, but I smooshed them together and counted them as one.  Today I wanted to revive the 70's vibe with this casual look that is perfect for Hawai'i's sweater weather.  It has become a bit nippy for me these last couple of days, but it's nowhere near freezing here in paradise.  For me, sweater weather is when the temperature drops from the mid-eighties to seventy degrees.
I paired this white cropped sweater from Sammy Dress with a black button-up high-waisted jeans and platform heels to raise me up a couple of inches.  Even if this is a casual outfit I wanted to add a bit of pizazz to the look, so I threaded a gold chain belt through the loops of my jeans and sported a boxy clutch purse.  For jewelry, I popped in these gorgeous gold earrings and added a vintage gold bangle as a throwback to the 70's.  To sum up the ensemble, I added a simple black choker because "why not?"  Also, both the earrings and the choker are from Sammy Dress, so if you would like to add these pieces to your jewelry collection, head over to their website!  Let me know in the comments below what your favorite 70's trend is?  As always, fashionistas, I am sending you lots of love from my heart to yours!
