Floral patterned maxi dresses make their debut during the spring and summer- usually paired with a straw hat and a cute pair of sandals, but today I chose to dress-down this maxi wrap dress with a pair of cropped jeans. I remember there was a short period in the early 2000's when dresses over pants were a "thing," but now this trend is coming back around for spring/summer 2017. This trend was seen from Rosie Assoulin, Adeam, to Banana Republic. All were pairing tailored streamlined pants with a minimalistic dress, but I decided to swap the pants out for a pair of cropped jeans. Since the floral dress screamed summer on the beach with its boho-chic vibe, the jeans would play nicely with the casual look. I understand that this trend is not for everyone, but I think it's unique and stylish. Plus, with the addition of the cropped jeans, I didn't have to worry about the dress flying up in the wind.
