This outfit is perfect for those of you who are still experiencing colder weather, but are just itching to wear your spring/summer clothes.  Monochromatic white outfits are in for spring 2014, so I paired an ivory ribbed white mock turtleneck tank (one of my wardrobe staples) with an ivory miniskirt, and threw on an ivory wool coat.  This is really simple way to still incorporate your winter coats with your blooming spring wardrobe. Unfortunately for me, it is way too hot to wear this coat in Hawai‘i now, so I will be tucking it away in the back of my closet until December.  However, this outfit still looks great even without the coat.  The ribbed tank with the raised texture on the skirt look great together. *(Just a tip: Mixing different textured fabrics is an easy way to make any monochromatic outfit interesting, even if you are wearing only one color from head-to-toe!)
As for the shoes and accessories, I am wearing a vintage gold filigree necklace from my mother’s personal jewelry collection and these comfortable camel-colored booties.  Although they look difficult to walk in, they are really comfortable and I love how the camel color warms up the look even more.  Lastly, I decided to add a cross-body purse (I doubled the chain) that was the same color as my shoes to create a cohesive look.  Hope this post inspires you to create a spring outfit that is tailored to whatever climate you live in!

Love,
Kris
