In the beginning of March I visited a bookstore that sold vintage books on every subject you can think of.   There are non-fiction, fiction, sci-fi, romance, psychology, nature, and travel books, and so much more.  It is a book-lover's heaven.  While I was browsing through the books, I made my way to the fashion section and found two costume books: Costume and Fashion by James Laver and History of Costume by Blanche Payne.  I believe both of these books are out of print, so I was extremely excited to find them at my local bookstore.  I just love fashion, so naturally, I am intrigued by the different styles throughout history.  
          The other book I picked up was The Top 500 Poems.  If you have seen my other monthly favorites, you would know that my other "love" is poetry.  I love reading, writing, and listening to poetry.  My favorite way to wind-down after a long day is to read poems, sip hot tea, and have a candle burn beside me.  I honestly cannot wait to read all 500 poems.  Although I have read some of the poems before in my free time, most of them are completely new to me!


  
          My favorite jewelry items this month were these pieces by Lucky Brand.  I love the interesting shape of the necklace and matching bracelet.  I am not sure if the design is of an abstract moon or an anchor of some sort, but I love it nonetheless!  The single gold bracelet was not part of the set, but I love wearing the two bracelets together.  It was as if they were made to be paired together.  



           Last, but certainly not least, I have been loving the velvet matte lip pencil by NARS in the color "Cruella." My mom received it as a birthday present from Sephora and she was not a huge fan of the red lip color, so she gave it to me.  I loved it so much I have been wearing it almost every day.  I love the texture of the lip pencil; it is not too dry, but it's not as buttery as a lipstick.  It draws on smoothly and it doesn't come off easily, which is a huge bonus.  Also, the color red is rich and vibrant!  I am 100% sure that after I finish her mini birthday gift, I will purchase the full-size lip pencil.  It is that awesome!
