Today's outfit has a bit of a safari vibe to it. I purchased this olive maxi dress at Forever 21. Being 4'10" it is extremely hard to find long dresses that actually fit me (without alterations), but this maxi dress is the perfect length on me. In the store, the dress was fully buttoned on the mannequin and paired with a pair of clogs. Instead, I unbuttoned it and wore it as a long vest because I didn't want the dress to overwhelm my petite stature. I wore an ivory slip dress on the inside to enhance my curves and finished off the look with gold sandals.
Always remember that mannequins in the stores or pictures in magazines are meant to inspire; they are not there to dictate how you have to wear a certain piece of clothing or accessory. Have fun with fashion and play around with different combinations and see what you like best. To me, your unique style is always your best look!
