I was cleaning out my jewelry box when I stumbled upon this choker I wore when I was in third grade.  I kept it all these years because I just couldn't seem to give it away.  Looking at this brown suede flower necklace brings me back to being eight years old.  I loved this choker so much, I wore it at least once a week with my bell-sleeved tops.  It's just so funny to think that it's been twelve years since I have worn it, and I still love it.
As a child I also loved the look of off-the-shoulder tops, but I couldn't wear them because they looked too matured on me.  That's why whenever I would play dress up at home, I would push the neckline of my shirt or dress down to my shoulders to create that look.  To this day, I still think that a woman's décolleté is so elegant and definitely should be showcased.
Looking at the photos now, this outfit is definitely a nod to my third grade self.  Same necklace, but I've paired it with an off-the-shoulder paisley top from Topshop.  This top is insanely comfortable and great for spring.  It has a fun print and it's so versatile.  You could wear it with high-waisted jeans like I did, with jean shorts, or even a high-waisted skater skirt.  I know I will be wearing this a lot during spring and probably into summer too!
Hope you have a spectacular day!  Let the wonder of your inner child shine through.  As always, sending you lots and lots of love from my heart to yours today and every day!
