Hey, fashionistas, "on Wednesdays we wear pink." Today I took a little fashion advice from Regina George, Gretchen Weiners, and Karen Smith.  It's Wednesday and yes, I am wearing pink.  (If you have never heard this quote, you should definitely add Mean Girls to your list of movies to watch on Netflix.)  I am so excited to share with you all this look because it is one of my favorites!
Two of the pieces I am wearing in this outfit post was purchased during my trip to the northwest.  When I spotted this bold bow blouse at a Nordstrom Rack in Oregon, there was no way I could leave this beauty behind.  The exaggerated puffed sleeves and the large bow are what makes this blouse so wonderfully unique.  Women have been sporting sleeves like these since the Renaissance, but only now they are slowly starting to reappear in a few runway ensembles.  Some people dislike the theatrical shape of the sleeves, but I just adore them!
For this look, I tucked the blouse into my favorite pair of ripped boyfriend jeans, which gave the outfit a bit of an unexpected laid-back feel.  To play off the silhouette of the sleeves, I wore my retro-chic sunnies and carried a vintage box clutch.  To sling the look together, you know I had to wear my go-to white mules and add a touch of gold with a delicate bracelet, pearl ring, and stud earrings.  Let me know in the comments below how you would style this bow blouse!  Until my next post, I am sending you lots of love from my heart to yours!

  1. Kristen, your outfits just keep getting better and better! I absolutely love this candy pink striped top, and how you've accessorised this outfit, and also your reference to mean girl (aka the best film ever!).

Such a lovely post as always.
