Before I officially started Elizabeth, Marie, and Me about two years ago, I created a vision board with all my favorite quotes, goals, and a few photos I cut out from fashion magazines.   I chose to display it on the wall facing my desk because I wanted to always have a front row seat to view the collage that would fuel my inspiration and motivate me to continue to pursue my passions.  Although I have since replaced this board with framed prints by one of my favorite artists, Anja Van Herle, I still remember the quote I would read every day on my vision board: "Life is like a camera.  Focus on what's important.  Capture the good times.  And if things don't work out, just take another shot." -Ziad K. Abdelnour.  In a way, this quote, along with many others, gave me the courage to take the first step in pursuing what I love.  Elizabeth, Marie, and Me is still my creative outlet and a personal fashion diary, and in my eyes, it will always represent a new beginning and a fresh start on a different path.
With that said, this camera purse also has such a symbolic meaning for me.  When I saw it on the Sammy Dress website, I knew I had to feature it on my blog.  Not only does it look amazingly close to a real camera, I just love that it says "Steal the Spotlight" in the inner lens!  Sammy Dress has such a great selection and at super affordable prices.  Also, all the items I ordered arrived in perfect condition and this purse even came with a dust bag.
To highlight the quirky design of the purse, I slipped into this disc embellished sheer top and put on my badass faux leather skirt.  The circle embellishments on this top remind me of the sixties, specifically fashion icon, Edie Sedgwick.  I think she would totally rock this outfit, but of course, with one of her signature statement earrings!  Since I don't own any "Edie" earrings that would match this look, I opted for a little sparkle with rhinestone drop earrings.  Lastly, I wore my sky-high platform heels to keep this look strictly black and white (and to make me look taller!).  I truly hope you enjoyed this outfit post as much as I did writing it for you!  As always, I am sending you lots of love from my heart to yours!
