         Happy Tuesday!  I have been wearing this Topshop denim jacket non-stop.  I remember wearing my favorite GAP denim jacket almost every day to school as a child and I loved it.  Then for a good nine years, faux leather jackets were my outerwear of choice.  However, this piece from Topshop has recently revived my love for denim jackets.  Like a faux leather/leather jacket, there is something so magical about adding a denim jacket to any outfit- it can easily elevate a simple look or transform a fancier look to a casual-chic ensemble.  Also, recently I have fallen for plissé (*plissé: a fabric treated to give a permanent puckered or crinkled effect) pieces- everything from plissé dresses and skirts to plissé blouses.  I love the delicate feminine quality of the texture and how it looks when paired with different fabrics.
         In this ensemble, I showcased my two favorite pieces and topped the look with gold accessories.  To give the outfit an interesting twist, I miss-buttoned the over-sized denim jacket and layered it over a cream plissé dress.  And since it can never hurt to add a splash of sparkle, I wore these drop earrings by AQUA, a gold spiral bracelet, and platform heels. Like icing on the cake, I carried a crystal-encrusted clutch for a finishing touch.  Without the jacket, this ensemble could pass for a glamorous party look, but with the addition of denim, it instantly makes it passable for those days when you want to get all dolled up, but have nothing but errands on the agenda.  Also, I would probably switch the heels out for a pair of comfortable wedges.
