I call this outfit, "Iris Apfel Went to Las Vegas." If you don't know who Iris Apfel is, she is a fabulous fashion icon who believes firmly that "More is more and less is a bore." Basically, she invented the idea of having, "Extra" style. Today I put together this look with her in mind. If Iris were in her twenties and born in my generation, I hope she would wear this outfit on a trip to Vegas with her gal pals. Of course, she'd probably wear this look with many more statement jewelry pieces.
This lavender puffy coat from YOINS definitely steals the show in this ensemble. They were so kind to gift it to me and I am obsessed with it. I truly wish you could feel how soft and fluffy it is! I've purchased many faux fur coats and jackets before, so trust me when I say that this one is amazing and at such a great price point. Can you believe YOINS is selling this gorgeous coat for only $25.95!?! For this photo shoot, I chose to style it with an iris colored long sleeve crop top and a pair of high-waisted white pants.
I tried to channel giltz and glamour by pairing this look with shiny accessories. Since the shades of purple had a cooler undertone, I thought silver accessories such as this geometric chain belt and mini metal clutch would pair best.
And you can't go wrong with a pair of metallic silver heels! To me, pointed pumps elongate the legs and are the perfect soulmates to wide-leg pants.
Finally, no Iris Apfel-inspired outfit is complete without a pair of round sunglasses. How adorable are these glittery Miu Miu sunnies? I've been saving it to wear with a fabulous outfit, and I thought, "What better time to wear it than with this outfit?"
