Last month I had great luck with finding amazing trendy accessories for such great deals. Let me tell you, you don't have to spend a fortune to look chic because all of these pieces were under $80 each! How awesome is that? So, let's start with the pair of sunglasses that I've had my eye on since last year.
These whimsical Miu Miu butterfly sunglasses were on my fashion bucket list ever since I tried them on last spring. One of my best friends and I were playfully trying on sunnies at Sunglass Hut and she pointed out that I should try this one on. It's ethereal and incredibly different from my go-to Ray-Ban aviators. I slipped them on and I fell in love . . . until I looked at the price tag. It was about $400, so I placed it back on the display shelf, gently pet it as if it were a cute dog, and said to myself, "one day." I know the petting part may sound weird and creepy, but I do that. Do any of you do that? Or is it just me? Anyway . . . moving on from this awkward moment. Fast forward to March 2018, I was surprised to see these exact pair of sunglasses at Nordstrom Rack for $79.99. I snatched those sunnies off of the rotating display stand, purchased them, and planned an outfit around them. And that is how my outfit post, Stopping to Smell the Flowers, was born.
Now, moving on to purses. Structured petite purses captured my heart last month and they have made their way into many of my recent outfit posts. Unfortunately, these purses -even as small as they are- are slowly taking over much of my closet space. Thank goodness for plastic stackable storage bins! Anyway, this cognac half moon purse from Forever 21 reminded me a bit of the Chloé Nile Small Bracelet Minaudiere purse because of the structure and metal handle, but this one is under $30. Yes! You heard me right. I believe it cost about $23, so it satisfied my yearning for the Chloé purse, but this one was in my budget.
The second purse I purchased last month was this structured envelope crossbody purse. It is absolutely gorgeous! It's fresh, chic, and it reminds me a bit of a Jacquemus purse I saw in Paris, especially the handle. All I had to do was decorate it with a gold chain necklace that I already had in my jewelry box, and BOOM! I've got a Jacquemus-inspired purse for about $52. Amazing!
